India’s rich biodiversity is exemplified by its Himalayan ranges, which harbour a diverse array of flora. The Himalayan Flora comprises over 25,000 species, representing 10-15% of the global known species and 50% of India’s endemic flora. Notably, over 1,200 of these species possess medicinal properties. The medicinal herbs from the Himalayan Flora are integral components of Ayurvedic, Unani, Sidda, and Traditional Chinese Medicinal Practices.
