Essence Natura Pvt. Ltd. was started in 2019 by a group of veterinarians who have extensive knowledge and experience about herbal science and its application in animal farming. The ancient Indian science of natural therapy, i.e., "Ayurveda,” is one of the world’s oldest holistic systems of medicine. It is based on the belief that health and wellness depend on a delicate balance between the mind, body, and spirit. Its main goal is to promote good health, not fight disease.

India has been known for ages to be the land of alternate forms of medicine, where the use of plants for the prevention and treatment of diseases has been well documented. One of the traditional or natural forms of medicine is Ayurveda, which was developed more than 5000 years ago in India. Ayurveda is derived from the Sanskrit words ayur (life) and veda (science or knowledge). It seeks to treat and integrate body, mind, and spirit using a comprehensive holistic approach, especially by emphasising diet, herbal remedies, exercise, meditation, breathing, and physical therapy.

Modern science and technology have enabled us to decode the secrets of Ayurveda and understand the science behind the healing power it possesses. It has allowed us to dig deep into this traditional knowledge through the application of modern technology. The identification and isolation of different compounds from a varied flora have reinforced the benefits that can be derived from plants.

India, being a rich house of diverse flora, has its Himalayan ranges, which grow diverse forms and varieties of these flora. The Himalayan Flora is estimated to have more than 25,000 species, which account for 10-15% of the total known species worldwide and 50% of the endemic flora of India. More than 1200 of them are classified as medicinal in nature. The medicinal herbs from Himalayan Flora are an integral part of Ayurvedic, Unani, Sidda, and Traditional Chinese Medicinal Practices.
